About
Nature Scan LLP was founded in 2021 in Bengaluru. We are DPIIT and Startup India recognised in the Education and Skilling category, and won RKVY RAFTAAR in 2026.
Conservation begins with awareness, so education and training are our daily bread. But awareness without a livelihood attached does not survive contact with a student's third year, when the question becomes what to do next.
So we built four wings that feed each other. We train students in the skills a sustainable life actually requires — money, enterprise, negotiation, field method. We run the research that gives those skills something real to work on. We publish so the work reaches beyond the report it was written for. And we incubate the ventures that come out of the other three.
Almost entirely within Karnataka: Bengaluru, Uttara Kannada, Dharwad, Bagalkot, Shivamogga and Raichur. We know these landscapes and the people working in them, and we would rather be useful in one state than thinly present in five.

Recognised as a startup by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, in the Education industry and Skill Development sector. Issued 13 March 2023, valid to 3 September 2031.
Selected under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana agri-business incubation programme.

Managing Partner
MBA (Dayananda Sagar University / FHWS Germany), BE Mechanical. Consulted on organic food import–export in the Netherlands before starting NatureScan. Has run 35+ training and consulting events for 30+ organisations since the age of 19. Two scientific publications; two registered startups in the nature sector.

Scientific Advisor
Dean of Forestry at the College of Forestry, Sirsi (UAS Dharwad), working in forest ecology, tree improvement, conservation biology and bioprospecting. He was part of the field team behind the discovery of Semecarpus kathalekanensis in the Kathlekan swamps and published the paper confirming its taxonomic distinction. Our Myristica swamp work runs on his method.
